Language App Training – Making iPhone Apps

Native Language on the iPhone or Android devices have never been easier to create. Over the 3 day App development training session, you will learn the fundamentals of how to create a Native American Language Apps; potentially releasing the App to the App store and managing expectations when users start to download your Native language App.

Create an App in 3 days!

You will be creating an iPhone App in 3 days of our training. You will created your own Ancestral language app for your Tribe.  Within the first two hours of training, you will be entering in your first lines of code and by the end of the first day, you will have already created your first mobile app.  By the second day of training, you will be incorporating maps, text, photos and more audio into your amazing Language App and well on your way to helping to preserve your ancestral Native language.

NOTE* There is no guarantee that attendees will release a language App into the iTunes store. This training session is meant to develop the skills needed to develop Apps for Native American and First Nation languages.

Over the 3 day training period, you will learn  how to create an iPhone app for your Native Language with the possibility to release the App into the iTunes App store.


Participants are required to supply bring the following items:

  • Mac laptop computer (Mac computers are required for iPhone/iPad Language Apps)
  • Tablet, iPhone, iPod or Android smart phone
  • USB Drive
  • USB cable
  • Notebook for taking notes along with pen or pencil
  • Audio Files in MP3 or WAV format.
